Terms of Use of the MySerenys app
Version of 29 October 2026
This is a translation of the French text. In the event of any difference, the French version prevails.
Article 1 — Purpose
These terms of use (the “Terms”) govern access to and use of the MySerenys mobile application (the “App”). The App lets you book a ride with a driver, pay for it and follow its progress.
The booking and performance of rides are governed by MySerenys’ general terms of sale (the “Terms of Sale”), also available from the App. If the Terms and the Terms of Sale conflict on a ride, the Terms of Sale prevail.
Article 2 — Definitions
- User: any adult who creates an account in the App.
- Customer: the User, or the company for which they book, within the meaning of the Terms of Sale.
- Driver: the independent private-hire (VTC) operator, a MySerenys partner, who performs the ride.
- Ride: the transport service booked through the App.
Article 3 — Publisher
The App is published by MySerenys, a simplified joint-stock company (SAS) with variable capital, registered with the Paris Trade and Companies Register under number 109 889 055, whose registered office is at 138 avenue Victor Hugo, 75016 Paris, France. Contact: contact@myserenys.com.
MySerenys is a booking platform (“centrale de réservation”) within the meaning of Article L. 3142-1 of the French Transport Code. It does not operate vehicles or employ drivers: rides are performed by independent Drivers. MySerenys is liable to the Customer for the proper performance of the ride, in accordance with Article L. 3142-3 of the French Transport Code.
Article 4 — Access to the App and account
- The App can be downloaded free of charge from the App Store and Google Play. Only booked rides are paid for, under the Terms of Sale. Downloading is also subject to the terms of the App Store or Google Play.
- Accounts are reserved for adults (Article 2 bis of the Terms of Sale). A minor may travel under the conditions set out in that article.
- The User signs in with their email address and a one-time code received by email, without a password. The account is created at the first sign-in.
- The User provides accurate and up-to-date information: first name, last name, phone number, billing address. They can change it under Profile › My details.
- The account is personal. The User keeps control of their mailbox, which is used to sign in, and informs MySerenys without delay of any use of the account they have not authorised.
- The User may delete their account at any time, under Profile › Delete my account, or by writing to contact@myserenys.com (instructions, in French). An upcoming ride must first be cancelled, under the Terms of Sale. The data kept after deletion are described in the App’s privacy policy.
Article 5 — App services
The App lets the User, in particular:
- book a ride, see its price and pay for it;
- follow the ride: driver assigned, approach, arrival, end of ride;
- exchange messages with the Driver of the ride;
- save favourite Drivers;
- rate the ride and make a complaint, with supporting photos if needed, reviewed by the dispatch team;
- receive their invoices.
Some features are optional and are only activated at the User’s request: notifications, sharing their location with the Driver during the approach, a photo of the User so the Driver can recognise them, adding a ride to the phone’s calendar. The User can turn them off at any time.
MySerenys may change the App’s features. An update may be required to keep using it.
Article 6 — Booking
- Booking, price, waiting time, cancellation and refunds follow the Terms of Sale.
- The pick-up location must be in a département served by MySerenys, in France. For a pick-up outside this area, the App invites the User to request a quote.
- Addresses are chosen from the list offered by the App. The User checks the ride details before confirming: date, time, addresses, passengers, luggage, options, flight or train number.
- The price shown before confirmation includes VAT. It is estimated or fixed according to Article 3 bis of the Terms of Sale.
Article 7 — Payment
- Payment is made by bank card, entered with the payment provider Stripe. MySerenys neither sees nor stores the card number.
- A pre-authorisation is placed before the ride, within the limit shown at booking. Only the final price is charged (Article 8 of the Terms of Sale).
- The invoice is sent by email. The User can receive it again from the ride, in the App.
Article 8 — Business accounts
A company may open a business account and add its employees to it.
- The account manager appointed by the company adds or removes employees, sets their rights and, where applicable, approves their rides before they are confirmed.
- The employee books rides invoiced to the company, or paid with their own card, depending on the rights granted to them.
- The company is the Customer for rides invoiced in its name. It sees the details of those rides.
- The Terms and the Terms of Sale apply to business accounts, unless special terms are agreed in writing with the company.
Article 9 — Favourite Drivers and invitations
- The User can save Drivers as favourites. When booking, a ride may first be offered to a favourite Driver, if available and if their vehicle matches the chosen category. MySerenys does not guarantee that a favourite Driver will perform the ride.
- A Driver may invite a person to download the App, in particular with their QR code card. The person signs up themselves and gives their consent. The Driver who invited them becomes their favourite, which they can remove at any time.
- The ride is still booked with MySerenys, under the Terms of Sale, even when performed by a favourite Driver.
Article 10 — User obligations
The User undertakes to:
- use the App for their personal use or that of the company that added them, in accordance with the Terms, the Terms of Sale and the law;
- only book rides they genuinely intend to take or have taken;
- remain courteous in their messages and dealings with Drivers and MySerenys staff, and not post any unlawful or abusive content or content infringing the rights of others, in particular in messages, comments and photos;
- use the Driver’s phone number only for the ride concerned;
- not attempt to bypass the App’s security measures, extract its data or disrupt its operation.
Article 11 — Liability
- MySerenys takes reasonable steps to keep the App accessible and working properly. Access may be interrupted for maintenance, updates or if a technical provider fails.
- If the App is unavailable, a ride already confirmed is not affected. The User can always contact MySerenys by phone or email to manage it.
- MySerenys is not liable for damage caused by the User’s phone, their internet connection or use of the App contrary to the Terms.
- This article in no way limits MySerenys’ liability to the Customer for the proper performance of the ride (Article L. 3142-3 of the French Transport Code), nor the rights consumers have by law.
Article 12 — Intellectual property
The App, its texts, images, logos, trademarks and code belong to MySerenys or are used under licence. MySerenys grants the User a personal, non-exclusive and non-transferable right to use the App for the purposes set out in the Terms, for the life of their account. Any reproduction, modification or extraction, in whole or in part, without written permission is prohibited.
Article 13 — Personal data
MySerenys processes the User’s data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation. The data processed, the purposes, the recipients, the retention periods and the User’s rights are described in the App’s privacy policy (also under Profile › Privacy).
Article 14 — Suspension and closure of the account
- In the event of a serious breach of the Terms or the Terms of Sale, in particular payment fraud, repeated fictitious bookings or behaviour endangering a Driver’s safety, MySerenys may suspend the account. It informs the User by email, stating the reason.
- The User may submit their observations within 15 days. If the situation is not remedied, MySerenys may close the account.
- Rides already taken remain payable. Upcoming rides are cancelled free of charge for the User, unless the breach concerns those rides.
Article 15 — Changes to the Terms
MySerenys may change the Terms, in particular to reflect changes to the App or the law. The new version is published with its date and shown in the App 15 days before it takes effect. A User who refuses it may delete their account. Rides already booked remain governed by the version in force when they were booked.
Article 16 — Complaints, mediation and governing law
- Complaints may be sent to contact@myserenys.com or from the ride concerned, in the App.
- If a complaint has not received a satisfactory answer, consumers may use the consumer mediator free of charge: CM2C, 49 rue de Ponthieu, 75008 Paris, France, phone +33 1 89 47 00 14, www.cm2c.net, litiges@cm2c.net.
- The Terms are governed by French law. Consumers may bring proceedings before the courts of their place of residence. The Terms are offered in the App’s languages; in the event of any difference between versions, the French version prevails.
